Folder Shelf is a local-first macOS utility and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.
No analytics or tracking
The app does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking, accounts, subscriptions, cloud sync, or third-party data sharing.
No backend service
Folder Shelf works on your Mac. Your folders, filenames, screenshots, and files are not uploaded to a server by Folder Shelf.
On-device bookmarks and preferences
Pinned folder bookmarks, screenshot folder access, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac using Apple-provided storage.
Folder access
When you choose a folder, macOS grants Folder Shelf access to that folder so the app can show pinned folders and recent screenshots. Folder Shelf uses that access only on your Mac.
Support email
If you email support, the information you send is used only to respond to your request.
